Setting up Google Tag Manager

To send your data through from Google Tag Manger to Google Analytics you will need to configure your Tag to send event triggers.

To do this follow steps for Google Tag Manager under "Collect ecommerce Data" in this Set up ecommerce eventsarrow-up-right guide from Google.

Tip: Remember to ticket "Send Ecommerce data"

Below is an example of a Tag set up to receive ecommerce data into Google Analytics.

Google Tag Cross-Domain Tracking

Prerequisites

  1. Google Tag Manager must be installed on your site as described in the Google Tag Documentation: https://developers.google.com/tag-platform/tag-manager/webarrow-up-right

Configure Cross Domain in Google Analytics

You must allow your Google Tag to run on our designmynight.com domain from your Analytics admin.

Please refer to Google's guide on this: Set up cross-domain measurement via the Admin | Google Analytics Helparrow-up-right.

Your domains should look similar to our example below:

Once your domains are set up Cross Domain tracking should be working.

You can verify that the URL for the Tonic Checkout contains the linker parameter _gl; for example: https://tickets.designmynight.com/checkout?_gl=1*abcde5*.
